Hello, my name is Nicholas...and I am a TV Nerd. *Hi Nicholas*
I love television. Those who know me have a better understanding of that fact than they will ever wish to have. Actually, love isn't strong enough a word. Obsession is better. In fact, I love the art form and entertainment of TV so much, that I am attending the University of Rhode Island for Film, or more specifically, Television Screenwriting.
I say that this journal is friends only, but a recent reality is that it is not. At least not completely so. I still like to say it is, though. I post a a lot and often (on average at least 3 times a day, sometimes as much as 6). Sometimes what I post about is random useless (yet oddly amusing) drivel, sometimes I post about my life, but most of the time I post about my television obsessions.
The reason I lock my posts is for privacy concerns. My philosophy is..."if I wouldn't want my parents to see it, then neither should the entire world." Ergo the reason why you will rarely see a public post with me swearing like a sailor. You WILL see an f-locked post like that, though. (Actually you will see many). I also tend to have trust issues, hence the reason why all my personal posts are f-locked. Luckily, some of the only people in the world that I trust are on my f-list, though that might be because I have known them for ages and love half of them like family.
I like to quote Evangeline Lilly (HOTTEST ACTRESS EVER!) by saying that "I am a walking contradiction". And I am. I am multi-faceted in every which why, and different aspects of my character contradict each other all the time. I can be extremely annoying and have a penchant for being insanely blunt...but that's just me! (And I am quite loved for it, I guess) However I am also known to be there whenever you need help and a good shoulder to cry on (is nice, yes).
So, if you think we'd get on well, friend me. Most likely I will add you back because I am always looking for new friends of course, but I might need to get to know you a bit before I am really comfortable around you. A good sign that I am really comfortable with you is when I become really blunt and random (i.e. I will say weird shit and not be afraid of getting defriended). If you want, comment with a bit about yourself here whenever you friend me!

I should forewarn you, again I guess, if I already have, that I watch a massive amount of TV. As pathetic as it sounds, my life revolves around TV, and has for as long as I remember. I have wonderful memories of waking up at 5:45 in the morning, and slowly making my way downstairs to the living room (using a flashlight) to watch cartoons. Of course, I had to sit through 15 minutes of infomercial, but it was well worth the hours of Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny. So my love for TV has been long-running, hence it seems quite fitting that my goal in life is to be a Television Screenwriter. I decided to compile a list of all the shows I currently watch, used to watch, like, still like but don't watch, or liked in the past (i.e. Providence), etc.
It is in no way complete, since the show barely scratches the surface on my childhood favorites. Alas, instead it is really geared towards the more recent of favorites. Nevertheless, it's a long freakin' list! Luckily for you, I have broken it up into categories of importance, and supplied links with which you can jump back up to the top of my profile for quick navigation.
Due to the fact that I watch so much TV, I simply continue to need more and more shows to watch. In essence, I have drunk the proverbial well dry of virtually all U.S. based shows I have even a remote interest in. (There still are a bunch left, but the list is rapidly growing thinner with the passing of days). For that reason, I have taken to downloading and watching British shows, and more recently, Canadian shows. All shows (but for a spare few) in each category, may easily be deemed as "Obsessions".
